About the role
Heavy Vehicle Trainer
Our heavy vehicle training team introduce and provide students with practical education and training to provide quality outcomes with work-ready skills and knowledge to students from all sectors of the community. They provide a vast range of training across accredited courses and non-accredited courses. Trainers require skills in the vehicle, classroom and the training administration space and will train students from diverse cultures and backgrounds. The heavy vehicle trainers have conducted training leading to licences, verification of competencies and within the plant operation space.
Trainers within this space require the following qualifications –
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessing and
- TLI41318 Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Heavy Vehicle Driving Instruction)
Trainers also require the below –
- Police Clearance and
- Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT) and
- Working with Children Check (NSW) and
- First Aid and CPR Certificate and
- Five year driving history and
- A commercial driver’s health assessment
