About the role
Heavy Vehicle Trainer
Our heavy vehicle training team introduce and provide students with practical education and training to provide quality outcomes with work-ready skills and knowledge to students from all sectors of the community. They provide a vast range of training across accredited courses and non-accredited courses. Trainers require skills in the vehicle, classroom and the training administration space and will train students from diverse cultures and backgrounds. The heavy vehicle trainers have conducted training leading to licences, verification of competencies and within the plant operation space.
Trainers require the following qualifications:
- TAE40122 – Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or TAE40116 with LLN), or the ability to obtain the qualification.
- TLI41222 – Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training / Heavy Vehicle Instruction (or TLI41318 /TLI41321 – Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Heavy Vehicle Driving Instruction), or the ability to obtain the qualification.
Trainers also require:
- Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT)
- Working with Children Check (NSW)
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Five-year driving history
- A commercial driver’s health assessment
