This is the Final Competency Assessment (FCA) in an HR vehicle with a non-synchromesh gearbox, which is a final drive that will be video recorded for al NSW licence holders as a Transport for NSW requirement.  After the FCA is completed successfully and the required standard of competency has been achieved you will be issued with a certificate to obtain your licence from the relevant regulatory authority.

A light Rigid vehicle includes trucks with two axles and a gross vehicle mass (GVM) between 4.5 and 8 tonnes.  It also includes buses that seat more thatn 12 adults including the driver with GVM up to 8 tonnes.  Holders of a LR licence may also tow a trailer with a weight not exceeding nine tonnes GVM.

For Comcar candidates who require re-assessment for any course. 

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to obtain a dangerous goods (DG) driver licence to transport DG by road.

The unit covers compliance with regulatory requirements but does not address all the skills and knowledge for the transportation of DG. On achieving this unit and obtaining a licence, further industry specific training will be required to satisfy legislative requirements to transport DG.

The primary legislative requirement applicable to this unit of competency is the Model Subordinate Law on the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road or Rail, which is reflected in state/territory legislation.

This law, in relation to the safe transport of DG, references the current version of the Australian Dangerous Goods (ADG) Code, the Model Act on the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail, relevant Australian Standards (AS) and relevant work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation including licensing and assessment requirements.

Achieving this unit of competency is a necessary requirement for obtaining a licence. However, it is only one of several criteria for obtaining a DG driver licence. More information can be sourced from the regulator in each jurisdiction regarding other criteria that apply, which can vary between states and territories. Compliance with these requirements may be required nationally and/or in specific jurisdictions.

This is an effective introduction to the concept of defensive driving and incorporates practical, in-car exercises and providing underpinning knowledge on vehicle safety and safer driving strategies. 

The one day course is the perfect introduction to towing a trailer with your vehicle. You will become familiar with all aspect of towing from hitching up, on road driving, manoeuvring and parking.  The day begins in the classroom, discussing safety, weights and measures and towing principles.  The remainder of the day involves practical activities designed to improve your understanding and develop your skills for safe hitching, manoeuvring and on road driving. Before competency can be determined, individuals must demonstrate they can drive and manoeuvre two different trailers on a road with curves.

The aim of this program is to provide the driver of a vehicle in a high traffic and poor road condition location the necessary attitides, skills and driving techniques to manage the changing driving environement.
 
The delivery is designed to meet and align with the DFAT values, their organisational and legislative standards
 
Training is provided in theory and practical sessions over a 1 day period

This short course allows you to upgrade your High Risk Work licence in a shorter period of time due to already completed a formal course in Forklift operations.  However, your High Risk Work licence has expired more than 12 months ago.

This course aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a HRWL licence to operate this plant. 

This is a non-accredited course that equips you with the knowledge and skills to use certain methods to ensure loads on heavy vehicles stay in control when transported.   Load restraint prevents loads from falling off, protruding or making the vehicle unstable.
