4WD Level One

Disclaimer

This is a non-accredited course and therefore not nationally recognised.

Overview

This course is a one-day introduction to four-wheel driving. The course is run on-site, uses our custom built 4WD track, and is a mixture of theory and practical activities including a snatch-strap vehicle recovery.

The aim of this course is to develop the skills and knowledge required to use appropriate range, gear and techniques to drive a 4WD vehicle through, and over a variety of terrain types. This includes the application of basic vehicle recovery techniques and maintenance.

If you are a seasoned 4WDer, we can build a course which covers outback travel, remote travel preparation, equipment checks and much, much more. Contact our experts to see how we can contextualise a training package to suit your needs.

We also offer the following 4WD nationally accredited units of competence for your consideration.

  • FWPCOT3325 – Operate a 4WD vehicle on Unsealed Roads
  • FWPCOT3326 – Recover 4WD Vehicle
  • FWPCOT3329 – Perform Complex 4WD Operations

In addition to our 4WD courses, we provide a weighing service for all your caravan and trailer requirements, and a nationally accredited Drive and Manoeuvre Trailers Course- AURTGA001 which provides participants the skills and knowledge required to drive and manouevre a caravan/trailer.
