AHCMOM216 Operate side by side utility vehicles
This course is nationally recognised and students who successfully complete the course will obtain a Statement of Attainment with the Unit of competency.
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a side by side utility vehicle including undertaking pre-start checks and shut down procedures.
The unit applies to individuals who operate side by side utility vehicles to undertake routine work under general supervision with limited autonomy and accountability.
Vehicle must be operated according to relevant state/territory licensing authority vehicle licence requirements and regulations.
No occupational licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

One day course from 8:15am – 4:30pm.
The course comprises of the following key topics:
- Pre-start safety checks
- Driving a side-by-side vehicle
- Driving on slopes
- Sand, water and mud driving
- Towing, loading and transporting the vehicle
- Caring for the environment.
Participants must be 16 years or older.
All participants are required to wear full body coverage clothing and closed toe footwear. A helmet and gloves will be provided for your use on the day.
Any cancellations made less than 7 days prior to this course commencing will not be eligible for a refund. Failure to attend training on the day will also not result in a refund.
Sutton Road Training Centre at their sole discretion may offer to rebook the student on a later course upon the presentation of a medical certificate.
