About the role
Light Vehicle Trainer
Our light vehicle training team introduce and provide students with quality, risk reduction driving practices and hands-on training to youths and adult drivers from across all sectors of the community. They provide a vast range of training across accredited and non-accredited courses covering theory and practical aspects to meet quality outcomes. Trainers require skills in the vehicle, classroom and the training administration space and will train students from diverse cultures and backgrounds. The light vehicle trainers have conducted various armoured vehicle and hostile training courses overseas.
Trainers require the following qualifications:
- TAE40122 – Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or TAE40116 with LLN), or the ability to obtain the qualification.
- TLI41222 – Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training / Car Driving Instruction (or TLI41218 / TLI41221 Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Car Driving Instruction), or the ability to obtain the qualification.
Trainers also require:
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT)
- Working with Children Check (NSW)
- Five-year driving history
- A commercial driver’s health assessment
